UPDATE:

GOD FUCKIN' DAMMIT EA YOU FUCKED IT UP

1. The weapons - it's cool to see all the prototype guns that were made during the war, but most of the time everyone was using bolt-action rifles and melee weapons.
2. The gameplay - the gameplay was awesome and chaotic (In a way that I found enjoyable) but the war was chaotic in a different way: Trench warfare. The game itself feels like an alternate universe, dieselpunk WW1 that's more like WW2: The Prequel, but of course, gotta keep the kids invested because obviously no one would be willing to participate in long-ass trench charges. If that was the case, everyone's K/D ratios would be 1/8999.
3. The player characters (In multiplayer) - to be clear, I am NOT racist and racism is still a big issue that is prevalent in different forms today, and yes, there were Indian, black and female soldiers in WW1, but the majority of the war was fought and led by Caucasian and West Asian men. The black soldiers (The Harlem Hellfighters) and the Indian soldiers (The Sikh soldiers from the British Raj) served in separate units and so did the Russian Women's Battalion of Death (Although from what I've read, the Women's Battalion did not fare very well before the Russian Civil War started). After all it was the 1910s. Everyone's values were different back then. In my opinion it would be reasonable if they did appear in their own maps (At least they get the spotlight for those maps, right?).

1. No jarring character decorations - I like customization in games. It makes my character feel unique to me when I mix and match aspects of their outfits. But if you want historically-accurate customization they should look unique yet recognizably part of a faction and what class they are.
   
2. No gender or race-switching unless playing on a certain map with a certain faction - this should be self-explanatory. Women DID fight in WW2, but mostly as partisans, saboteurs or Red Army personnel, and black soldiers were also segregated too (Especially in the US Military back then). That doesn't diminish the importance of their contribution to the war, in my opinion. I think you should be able to play as a woman...unless your current faction in the map is part of the resistance or the Soviet Union. Wouldn't it be weird if you fought a female Japanese soldier in Iwo Jima? (Unless we're getting a Grand Operation set in Operation: Downfall/the US Invasion of Japan. That would be so COOOOL!) Or a black SS soldier in the Ardennes? (When Nazi Germany viewed everyone who wasn't "Aryan" inferior?)

But that's just my opinion. I'm still looking forward to the release of BFV.
